Key Findings

In a new poll by Concord Public Opinion Partners on behalf of Education Reform Now Advocacy (ERNA), 376 likely municipal voters in Memphis, TN reveal that Paul Young leads narrowly (+3%) if the October 5th election were held "tomorrow."

Mayoral Topline by Race + Age: Young is strongest with White voters between ages 18-49 where he leads his closest competitor (Gibson) by +20 points.

Mayoral Topline by Partisanship: Herenton and Young are essentially tied with voters modeled to be strong Democrats (71% of the likely voter universe). While Young, overperforms with moderates (12% of the universe).

Methodology

The citywide representative poll was conducted by Concord Public Opinion Partners Sept 10th, 2023, and surveyed likely municipal voters in Memphis TN. Data was collected by contacting cell phones and landlines via live callers. The sample size is n=376, with a MOE of +/- 5.89%.
